
Robert is a classically trained pianist who performs as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician in Sacramento, California. He has recently performed with the Camellia Symphony Orchestra, the CSUS orchestra, and the California Camerata Chamber Choir in venues such as Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento State University, and numerous churches throughout Northern California.
Robert has significant experience as a professional accompanist. Most recently, he accompanied Dr. Don Kendrick's Concert Choir at CSUS for their 2010 season. Robert was the repetateur for the Sacramento State University Opera from 2008-2009, assisting with three seasons of production and performance. He has also performed with the Sacramento Opera's community outreach program.
Robert has studied the piano for over 26 years under Mr. Paul Walter (the Juilliard School) and the late Professor Nelson Whittaker (the Juilliard School, Conservatoire National in Paris, Carnegie Mellon University). Robert is currently studying under Richard Cionco (the Juilliard School).
Robert is also studying the harpsichord under the tutelage of Dr. Lorna Peters (Stony Brook). He performs on the harpsichord as a soloist and chamber musician with Sacramento State's Baroque Ensemble (Camerata Capistrano) under the direction of Dr. Peters.
Robert has been the organist for St. Mary's church in Sacramento since 2006. He began studying the organ in 1991 under the direction of Mr. Stewart Morgan. He was employed as the full-time organist at the Clinton United Presbyterian Church from 1992-1997 and the pianist and organist for St. Francis of Assisi church in Sacramento from 2007-2010. Robert has most recently studied under the expert instruction of Mr. Brad Slocum (Westminster Presbyterian Church), and is an active member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO).Robert served on the Board of Directors for the Camellia Symphony Orchestra and was a Associate Instructor of Piano at the Sacramento School of Music from 2008-2009.
Robert maintains a private piano studio, and is currently accepting applications for private students.
